Thinking Routines in History Education is the new webinar series hosted by Stefania Gargioni and Leonard Schmieding. This series aims to introduce Project Zero (PZ), visual thinking, and using thinking routines to history and civics teachers in Europe. Project Zero (PZ) is an initiative developed by the Harvard Graduate School of Education. You can learn more about what Project Zero consists of here.
This series will consist of four different webinar episodes as well as of one live event in Vienna. Participants will learn more about the foundational concepts of Project Zero and how they relate to history education (and can be applied to elevate historical thinking and learning). They will try out and discuss how thinking routines can be used in different learning phases and activities in the history classroom and beyond – in visits to museums, memorials, and monuments.
