Guide for history teachers on using ICTY archive launched in Sarajevo

Guide for history teachers on using ICTY archive launched in Sarajevo

EuroClio joined the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (UN IRMCT), the Sarajevo Canton Memorial Fund and the Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC) in Sarajevo on 9 June 2023 to officially launch a new teacher manual on how to use the archives of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in history teaching.

The event marked an intermediary conclusion of the work led by the Mechanism Information Programme for Affected Communities of the UN IRMCT in developing a guide for history teachers on how to use the archives relating to the 1990s conflicts in regional history education, with further additions coming later this year. The Manual was developed in collaboration with EuroClio and our member associations in the region, as well as individual teachers in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Manual is available for download in Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian language at the website of the UN IRMCT.
