Call for Authors of Teacher’s Guidelines: Innovation Station

Call for Authors of Teacher’s Guidelines: Innovation Station

A new approach to online and blended learning

Call for Authors of Teacher's Guidelines

OBESSU- Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions, Impossible Foundation, EGInA- European Grants International Academy, Hellenic Open University and EuroClio- European Association of History Educators are inviting you to apply for a new opportunity!

Innovation Station is a newly launched initiative that aims to connect students and teachers across Europe and join their forces in finding solutions to the everyday challenges of online and blended learning. Throughout the pandemic, OBESSU conducted a needs analysis through surveys and consultations with over 1000 students and teachers across Europe, shedding light on student and teacher experiences in online learning. This research demonstrated that teachers oftentimes struggle with a lack of control in the online learning environment that negatively impacts practical subjects, and affects the implementation of effective assessment methods (e.g.) inhibiting students’ learning, overall well-being and long-term academic progress.

Capacity building of teachers

One of the project outcomes will be the creation of guidelines for educators which

  • provide engaging and inclusive methods and best practices for teaching in an online or blended format
  • include ways to foster and encourage self-directed learning of the students
  • will be transferable to different countries around Europe and across subjects

We are currently searching for education practitioners and teachers across Europe to write the guidelines. Practitioners and educators from different backgrounds and educational disciplines are welcome to apply. The guidelines will be developed from January to June 2023.

What are we looking for?

We are specifically looking for motivated practitioners and educators who are determined to help improve the education system and quality of online and blended learning through transnational collaboration with colleagues and students. Ideally, you:

  • Are proficient in English (B2 level);
  • Possess excellent writing skills in English;
  • Have experience with online and blended learning.

What do we offer?

You will be working with a diverse and inspiring team on guidelines which will be published and disseminated across Europe.

Each author will receive a 500€ fee for their work.

How to apply

You can apply to be an author of the teacher’s guidelines by sending your CV and Letter of Motivation to Eugenie Khatschatrian (eugenie@euroclio.eu).

The deadline for applications is Sunday 11 December 2022 at 12:00 CET.

Please note that only two educators will be selected to help write the guidelines.
