EuroClio Programme Director Steven Stegers presented the achievements so far, lessons learned and future plans of the Historiana during the DigiKult Conference on 25 March 2015. This conference brought together specialists from cultural heritage institute in Sweden who are working on digital collections, exhibitions and online education. The presentation focused on what cultural heritage organisations can do to encourage the use of their collections in history education, on the cooperation between educators, historians and web-developers, and on issues related to licensing of the materials. John Coburn (Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums), Suzanne de Jong-Kole (Naturalis Biodiversity Center) and Jason Scott (Internet Archive) were amongst the other presenters and gave presentations on “experimental audience development”, “mass digitisation in practice” and “the assumption that digital files are saved forever”.
