Thank you for your interest in joining our 32nd EuroClio Annual Conference, co-organised with the House of European History and taking place from 26th-29th April 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.

In order to help educators who otherwise couldn’t afford the trip and participation, we are offering a mobility grant for 15 teachers. Since we anticipate a high demand, we kindly ask you to fill in this proposal form. Below, you will see the most significant question to submit a motivation, which should focus on how you address themes such as Hope, Representation, Inclusivity, Decolonisation, and Diversity in your teaching.

We are now accepting proposals. The final deadline for applications is November 30th, 2025, at midnight. We might conduct short interviews in the meantime, and the selection results will be announced in December. If you are selected, EuroClio will organise and cover the costs of travel, accommodation and food (breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks and dinner). Each participant will be accommodated for 5 nights (arriving on April 25 and leaving on April 30, 2026).

In return, we would ask for you to submit a written reflection or article as an outcome of your participation in the conference, no later than the end of June 2026, and deliver an activity about the House of European History in your school (details to be agreed).

If you are selected, you will be asked to sign a binding contract that will guarantee your participation. We ask this because dropping out after selection might mean that someone else doesn’t get the opportunity, and we have wasted expenses.

Eligibility criteria:
– You demonstrate a working level of written and spoken English.
– You did not participate in an international professional development course (from EuroClio or other organisations).
– You are working as a history or civics teacher at a primary or secondary school.
– You will submit a letter of support from your school indicating that you will be granted permission to leave during these days. You can send this letter separately and by the end of November to the ac26 [at] euroclio [dot] eu.
– You submit this proposal form.
– You agree to submit a written reflection or article and deliver an activity in your school as an outcome of your participation in the conference.

The final selection will be made in a way that we:
– will achieve gender balance and geographic diversity;
– prioritise candidates who play an active role in their national history teachers’ networks (NHTN) or similar organisations who are able to reach out to local teachers, as demonstrated by a support letter from these institutes;
– prioritise candidates who have a clear plan for the sharing of their learning with colleagues.

Additionally, you may want to apply to host a workshop if selected. This is not a requirement, but you have this opportunity. Read here for more information.
