As part of our project Monument(al) Challenges, EuroClio is looking for a video producer to develop three video tutorials expanding on the educational materials developed as part of the project.

The Monumen(al) Challenges project aims to

  • Increase awareness and understanding that heritage and identity are closely linked and can have a strong emotional impact on an individual or community.
  • Provide insight into how teaching and learning history affects students and teachers from diverse backgrounds on a personal level and the associated challenges.
  • Equip teachers and students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to address exclusion, marginalisation and societal injustices through history education.
  • Create a set of adaptable resources for teaching complex histories that can be used for teaching, learning and continued professional development on local, national and European levels.
  • Increase cross-sectoral cooperation between teachers, teacher trainers and researchers at the national level.
  • Strengthen teachers’ and students’ critical thinking skills in assessing evidence-based information on traditional and social media platforms.

As part of the project outputs, we will develop 3 video tutorials that aim to build upon the toolkit we produced as part of the project. Each will have a specific focus and incorporate footage of the lesson’s author, footage of the statue it is linked to, and ideally some animations and still images to make it more dynamic. The lessons will be focused on:

  1. Comfort Women Statue in Seoul, Republic of Korea – Please note that EuroClio already has existing footage from the statue from previous projects, so it is only required to film the author of the lesson.
  2. JP Coen Statue in Hoorn, the Netherlands – Please note that the statue footage and author’s interview will have to be recorded.
  3. RTS Building in Belgrade, Serbia – Please note that the filming of the authors and building will have to be coordinated with a local crew.

Each video should have a duration of 4 to 5 minutes and should include different elements such as interviews with the authors of the lessons, images of the statues and animations to make the videos more interactive. The script of the videos will be co-developed by the consortium and lesson’s authors to ensure their pedagogical approach.

For the filming of the authors for the Comfort Women and JP Coen statues, the authors are based in the Netherlands, and the filming can take place at the EuroClio offices.

The deadline for the development of the tutorials is October 31, 2025.

The budget cannot exceed 18,000.00 €, including VAT, for the development of the videos. This budget should include the filming, editing and possible changes if the consortium requests them. We expect the applicants to submit a plan to develop the video tutorials cost-effectively.
