Opportunity: Call for Proposals

Opportunity: Call for Proposals

The Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI) presents the Georg Eckert Research Award. The award honours excellence in academic work in the field of international educational media research, and will next be presented in 2024. It is presented for academic works in German or English which – topically or historically – relate to cultural, social, political or pedagogical aspects of textbooks and other educational media used in schools.

The award is endowed with a 5,000 EUR prize to cover academic costs, such as publication in the Georg Eckert Institute’s book series ‘Billdungsmedien’, workshops, conference costs or research travel. More than one work may be honoured if this is felt to be appropriate.

Click here to read more about the award and criteria.

Closing date for applications is 30 September 2023.
