At the Schools History Project’s Summer Conference, taking place at Leeds Trinity Unversity, the members of the Historiana Teaching and Learning Team Helen Snelson and Richard Kennett presented the main results of the Innovating History Education for All project, together with EuroClio Network Coordinator Jaco Stoop. During the TeachMeet session at the Summer Conference, about thirty attendants learned about the Historiana eLearning Environment, and the tools that history, heritage, and citizenship educators are able to use in class.
Many teachers at the conference expressed the wish for more international cooperation and exchange, and the introduction of better digital tools and international topics in history education. At the TeachMeet, Helen Snelson and Richard Kennett presented the basic functionalities of the Historiana eActivity Builder, the tools that are already developed, and the tools that the team of web developers is currently working on. Besides that, they showed exemplar content and learning activities that were developed within the Innovating History Education for All project.
The Schools History Project’s Summer Conference is a well-attended and very popular conference for mostly British history educators, known for its innovative teaching methods and high-quality workshops.
