The goal of the Korean War Legacy Foundation (KWLF) is to assist teachers, students, and the general public in understanding the origins and outcomes of the Korean War, the challenges that soldiers faced while fighting it, and its important legacy. With an archive of 1500 recorded interviews of Korean War veterans, the KWLF has the largest collection of oral histories on the war in the world. Using these primary sources and others, the KWLF develops curriculum projects and provides teacher training on the war and its legacy, with the goal of developing curriculum projects in all twenty-two UN participating countries in the Korean War and the countries that sent service personnel to support of North Korea.
