The Estonian History and Civics Teachers´ Association is a non-governmental organisation, which was founded in 1993. Members of the association are history teachers from Estonian schools but as well colleagues from universities and museums.

The main aim of the association is to support and to develop history and civics education in Estonia. The association is an important partner for the Ministry of Education in shaping education policy. The association annually organizes several professional conferences, congresses, courses and seminars for teachers but also competitions for students, thus ensuring self-improvement opportunities for its members.
