International conference ‘Postwar Cities. Sensitive Heritage in a Globalizing Historical Culture’

The Conference is part of a Research Excellence Initiative Project. This research project examines how the heritage of modern war history is represented and appropriated in contemporary popular culture, and which modifications or additions can be advised to harmonize these appropriations with the requirements and principles of democratic historical and civic education.
During the Postwar Cities-conference, keynotes will be held by:
- prof.dr. Peter Seixas (University of British Columbia, Canada);
- dr. Ria Dunkley (Cardiff University, UK);
- dr. Angela Bermúdez VÉlez(Universidad de Deusto, Spain);
- prof.dr. Malte Thieβen (Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg, Germany).
