Trainees
Trainees are university students and/or recent graduates who, under supervision from the Secretariat staff, contribute to EuroClio’s projects and activities. Traineeships can focus on getting work experience or doing research and can be in-house or remote. Trainees who focus on gaining work experience typically work with EuroClio for about 6 months.

Zarah Drummond
Zarah Drummond
Zarah Drummond joined the EuroClio team as a trainee in February 2024, primarily dealing with Historiana, SENSEI and the Changing Democracies projects, among others. She holds a Bachelors in History from the University of Durham in the UK. At present, she is pursuing a Masters in International Relations in a Historical Perspective at Utrecht University. Her research interests center around gender and sexuality and she hopes to write her MA thesis on the rising controversy of such topics globally, particularly in Ukraine's accession to the EU. - About
Laura Fernández-Pampillón Enguix
Laura Fernández-Pampillón Enguix
Laura Fernández-Pampillón Enguix joined Euroclio as a trainee in February 2024, and she is currently working on several projects, including Contested Histories and Monumental Challenges and My Story/Your Story. In addition, she manages Euroclio's outreach activities and social media platforms. Laura holds a BA in History from the Complutense University of Madrid and is currently pursuing her MA in Applied Archaeology at the University of Leiden in collaboration with Saxion University of Applied Sciences. Her interests include gender studies and colonisation, and their profound impact on our understanding of history today. Moreover, she is keenly interested in heritage and its presentation to society, which will be the primary focus of her traineeship at EuroCLio. - About
Andreas Haraldstad
Andreas Haraldstad
Andreas Haraldstad joined the Euroclio team as a trainee in February 2024 and is currently working on Watching Videos like an Historian and Making Visegrad History Digital. He holds an integrated BA and MA in history and education from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology where he wrote his thesis on the conceptual history of democracy in Norway. Andreas is a Fulbrighter and as part of his degree spent time at both UC Berkeley and in India. His main academic interests relate to the appearance of modernity and its corresponding phenomena such as democracy, nationalism and the modern state. - About
Martina Dierking
Martina Dierking
Martina Dierking joined EuroClio as a trainee (Professional Development) in February 2024, primarily dealing with the Annual Conference, Seeking Justice, Learning History that is not yet History II projects, among others. She holds a Bachelor in International Studies with a major in Latin American Studies and a minor in Cultural Memory of War and Conflict from Leiden University. She is currently pursuing a Dual Masters in Heritage and Memory Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Her research interests lie in dissonant heritages, politics of memory, and traumatic and competing historical narratives both in Europe and Latin America. Her MA thesis explores the relationship between photography and transgenerational trauma in the context of the memory of Spanish mass graves from the Civil War and Franco dictatorship.
