Trainees
Trainees are university students and/or recent graduates who, under supervision from the Secretariat staff, contribute to EuroClio's projects and activities. Traineeships can focus on getting work experience or doing research and can be in-house or remote. Trainees who focus on gaining work experience typically work with EuroClio for about 6 months.

Nazlı Altınay
Nazli Altinay is a Trainee at EuroClio who joined the team in September 2025. She studied European Studies with a major in European Law and a minor in Communication Science for her bachelor's degree at University of Amsterdam. She then continued there her master's education in European Studies with a specialisation in European Policy. She is particularly interested in citizenship, civic education, inclusivity and identity."
AboutMagdalena Chmiel
Magdalena Chmiel
Magdalena Chmiel is a cultural anthropologist and historian working at the intersection of memory studies, heritage, and history education. She holds degrees in History and Jewish Studies, as well as Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, and her research focuses on everyday experiences of living in post-conflict and post-traumatic urban spaces. She collaborates with European organisations and institutions on projects related to Holocaust remembrance, civic education, and youth engagement.

Cora Serbser
Cora Serbser joined EuroClio as a trainee in October 2025. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Sciences with the teaching subjects English and History from the University of Hamburg, Germany, where she is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in the same field. Cora is particularly interested in history didactics, public history, and inclusive pedagogy, and she looks forward to gaining practical experience in international history education through her traineeship at EuroClio.
AboutMireia Iturralde
Mireia Iturralde
Mireia Iturralde joined EuroClio as a Trainee in January 2026. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Teacher Training. Prior to joining EuroClio, she worked as a secondary school teacher, teaching Philosophy and Psychology. She was awarded a grant for her traineeship, which enabled her to join the EuroClio team. Mireia’s academic and professional interests include ethics, civic education, and inclusive pedagogy, and she is keen to further develop her professional skills and gain practical experience through the EuroClio traineeship.
