The Time to Think Team is looking for four Teacher Leaders!
In Time to Think, we will work closely with educators (secondary schools with students aged 12 – 18) across Europe to explore and adapt Project Zero’s Thinking Routines to test how these routines can be used in teaching history and humanities. Thinking Routines are a set of steps and questions for students to support students’ critical thinking that can be used in different contexts and across a variety of subjects.
Through both online and in-person professional development activities, Time to Think aims to build a community of practitioners consisting of inspiring teachers and educators who get to work together in modelling and implementing Thinking Routines, and exchange their experiences to learn from each other. For this, we are inviting dedicated educators of diverse backgrounds from Europe to apply to the call for Teacher Leaders. We are specifically looking for educators who are in a position to reach and disseminate the project outputs across a wide network of (local) peers.
As a Teacher Leader, you will:
- Participate in all the Online Peer Learning Activities and co-host a session in the Third Online Peer Learning Activities in November 2027 – February 2028.
- Participate in the Time to Think Winter School in The Hague (3 days), taking place in February 2027
- Participate in the:
- Field Visits (3 days) to Lycée International Ellipse in Paris (March 2027) and Wilhelmstadtschulen in Berlin (October 2027)
Or
-
- Co-facilitate a seminar, potentially during the EuroClio Annual Conference (3 days) in Portugal (April 2027)
- Co-design and pilot Thinking Routines in your local context and document your experiences during the piloting via written blog posts that will be featured in the Online Community Platform.
As a Teacher Leader in Time to Think, you will have the opportunity to meet like-minded colleagues from different parts of Europe and get to work together on the co-creation of learning activities that are inspired by Project Zero’s Thinking Routines. We are looking for Teacher Leaders who can commit to Time to Think from October 2026 till February 2028.
Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs to in-person activities will be covered by the project.
