The beginning of February saw the changeover of trainees, with six enthusiastic students from Russia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France and the United Kingdom. A number of introduction days were planned by the EuroClio staff to get the new trainees up to speed with the diverse work of the Secretariat. After a quick icebreaker activity, the trainees were given interactive workshops on project, event and financial management, and were given short pitches informing them of the current ongoing projects.

“During the Trainee Introduction Days we want to familiarise a new group of trainees with our work in a relatively short time. It also provides a good opportunity for us as staff members to rethink and present our projects and other responsibilities.” – Jonathan Even-Zohar, Director of EuroClio

Some highlights for the trainees included the mock debate which they regarded as a creative way of finding out more about EuroClio’s mission, whilst the workshops were undoubtedly useful for the trainees’ day-to-day responsibilities.
All six trainees are excited to engage with and promote EuroClio’s mission, and are looking forward to the coming months. Get to know them and our other staff members.

EuroClio offers traineeships every six months, for more information, see this page.
