INTO (International National Trusts Organisation) and EUROPA NOSTRA announce the launch of the “Global Heritage Forum”, to take place at this year’s event in Dubrovnik. The aim of the Global Heritage Forum is to provide an informal platform for an annual gathering of senior representatives of main international and European organisations and networks active in the wider heritage field. The purpose of the Forum is to examine the challenging issues which globally confront the heritage sector and then formulate a “Global Agenda for Heritage” to better address the identified issues.
The main aims/activities are:
– Exchanging information on heritage programmes and projects to identify challenges and opportunities concerning heritage protection ‘best practice’;
– Examining critical issues that are challenging the cultural heritage sector globally: formulate strategies;
– Create a strong voice to be strategically heard by global leader, funders and policy setters across the world.
We are happy to announce that EuroClio Board Member and President of ANIM, Mire Mladenovski, has been invited to represent EuroClio at the Forum. In a working session he will discuss on the Global Agenda for Heritage with several international heritage experts before the opening session. Afterwards the results will be presented and discussed with a wider audience.
