Europeana.eu is an online portal that provides access to the digital collections of Europe’s archives, museums and libraries. More than 2,000 institutions across Europe have contributed to Europeana. These range from major international names such as the Imperial War Museum and El Prado to regional archives and local museums from across Europe. EuroClio Founder and Special Advisor Joke van der Leeuw-Roord is a member of the Managing Board of Europeana. The role of EuroClio in this new project is to make it possible to search sources from the digital collections of the cultural heritage institutes that contribute to Europeana.
