From 18 May to 22 May, Gwen Vergouwen (a history educator from Belgium) worked at the offices of EuroClio and Europeana on the development of an iBook on “The Descent into WW1”. This cooperation was part of a residency programme for Apple Distinguished Educators. The iBook makes use of historical sources that were found via the Europeana portal and that illustrate the ongoing debate between historians related to the causes of WW1. EuroClio contributed to the book by sharing resources and materials developed by the Historiana historical content and learning teams for the World War 1 module.
