Slow Looking with Europeana – What Images Reveal When We Give Them Time
October 20 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Educators looking for fresh, practical classroom strategies are warmly invited to an interactive webinar with tried-and-tested tips for working with photographs, paintings, posters, book covers, illustrations, film stills and other visual materials across subjects. Through engaging examples and hands-on activities, we will explore how slowing down and looking more closely at such images can help learners notice details, ask better questions, support ideas with evidence, make connections and reconsider first impressions. The goal is to help learners notice, interpret, and connect with images while reflecting on internal thoughts and feelings, and turn these images – understood as cultural objects – into powerful starting points for curiosity, critical thinking, communication and deeper learning.
Our facilitator will be Daniela Brunea, with the support of Cristina Gîlă.
