Since 2011, HistorieLab has been a national knowledge centre dedicated to developing and conducting research into the use, understanding and communication of history, culture and social studies in schools, education, research, business and society.

Our ambition is to build connections between research, inquiry, theory development and practice, and to create spaces where knowledge and ideas come to life. We aim to foster understanding of history, society and culture, and contribute to the development of students’ democratic understanding and citizenship in early childhood education, schools and across the education sector.

HistorieLab is based at UCL University College in the city of Jelling in Denmark.
