The History Teachers’ Club operates as a subject-based professional community within the National Centre for Digital Transformation in Education at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. It is one of the key pillars of the Centre in the area of continuing professional development and support for history teachers in Slovakia. Our main goal is to build a community of history teachers who can share experiences, exchange examples of good practice, and support each other in their professional work. We regularly organize educational activities for teachers, including webinars, informal teacher meetings, face-to-face workshops, and other forms of professional support. We also organize Autumn History Days, a two-day professional event for history teachers. It is the first regular multi-day workshop-based format of its kind in Slovakia and serves as a space for professional learning, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas.All activities are voluntary and provided free of charge. The number of members is updated at the beginning of each school year.
