Divided Past, Joint Future Regional Training in Macedonia

The Training took place in Bitola in Macedonia

Earlier this month, EUROCLIO Trainee Larissa Wiegelmann attended the regional training of the project “Divided Past, Joint Future“, of which EUROCLIO is a partner, in Bitola, Macedonia. This project is unique for many reasons, one being the large number of – mostly, but not limited to, regional – partners that are taking part in this project. The objective of the project is to research the public perception of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) whose aim is to make peace and reconciliation more attractive to different stakeholders by using social innovations in the region. Starting in 2016, this project will run for 4 years until 2020.

During the regional training, hosted by Youth Cultural Center – Bitola, participants investigated the concept of social innovations and social entrepreneurship and its place in the project. The interesting and dynamic discussion served to shed a lot of insight into the challenges CSOs face in the region.
