On April 8, 2016, the newly established Danish National Center of Excellence for the Dissemination of History and Cultural Heritage held its first major conference at the National Museum, Copenhagen. The theme of the conference was: Migration Past and Present – Collapse or Enrichment? Around 50 history and cultural heritage educators from primary to high school education as teacher training institutions attended to the conference that included lectures, workshops, and debates on migration between Members of the Parliament. EuroClio Ambassador Benny Christensen gave a presentation on European History Education  initiatives. He presented the Council of Europe Project ‘Educating for Diversity and Democracy: Teaching History in Contemporary Europe’that will be launched at a regional seminar in Tallinn, Estonia on June 1-2, 2016. Benny Christensen spoke about the Paris Declaration of EU Education Minister of 2015 leading to the EuroClio Helsingor Declaration April 22, 2015, and he presented the EuroClio input to the European Parliament that is expected to yield project opportunities shortly inside the theme of the conference.
