Historiana is an international programme intiated by  EUROCLIO, the European Association of History Educators and the Netherlands Institute for Heritage, on history and heritage education in Europe. The main outcome of the Historiana is a thematic website that enables young generations to learn about their past. Historiana offers access to a plurality of historical sources and well-developed teaching and learning ideas to educators, students and other users.

The Project “Connecting Europe through History – Experiences and Perceptions of Migration in Europe”, run by EUROCLIO,the European Association of History Educators, in collaboration with EVROAPEVM, the Association of 10 leading universities and the International Students History Associations, is a new transnational initiativewhich aims to enhance mutual understanding among Europe’s citizens, and to share and boost cultural and linguistic diversity by tackling issues linked to movements of people as a common theme across European History.

Through the collection of family stories, photos and interviews, and the piloting of the developed materials amongst students, the partners involved youngsters in the project.
AThe materials are accessible online and easily printable, and will consist of ready to use lessons of 30 minutes. The relevant website provides the possibility to have access to all of these interesting sources and gives valuable guidance to the educational community on how to work with different sources in history education.
