The Union aims at developing open society and history education in the South Caucasus.
The objectives of the Union are as following:
Followed with the management meeting of the 'Sharing History, Cultural Dialogues' Project in Baku (Azerbaijan) on the 10th of May, The Board of the Association decided to change the name of the Association in English to Public Union of Azerbaijan History Educators (PUAHE), as they work not only with Historians, but also History Educators. From now on, this new name will appear in all materials related to the association.
EUROCLIO Member Public Union of the Azerbaijan Historians (PUAH) would like to announce that they have just published no less than 3 new books:
The books will all be published in Russian, but summaries are also available in English and Turkish.

The Public Union of Azerbaijan Historians and the Analytical Centre on Globalisation and Regional Cooperation have recently published the "History and Identity: The South Caucasus and Other Regions in Transition" with support of the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The views expressed in
the book belong to the authors from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Download here the publication.
The Public Union of Azerbaijan Historians in cooperation with Armenian and Georgian partners has published the "Sketches of history of the countries of South Caucasus", a multiperspective sight in Russian, as well as the "Positive examples of coexistence from the history of peoples and states of the South Caucasus" in English and Russian. On January 21th 2010 the Union has presented the material in English and Russian and has generated the Board of guardians defining zone coordinators in 12 regions of Azerbaijan.
