
On 19-20 September 2009, over a 100 History Educators from all over Bulgaria were able to participate in the Annual Conference of the Bulgarian History Teachers Association, hosted by the University of Sofia's Departement of In-Service Teacher Training, as part of the EUROCLIO/Matra Project "European Dialogues. A Cultural Rainbow for the Future". At the centre stage of the conference was the new Educational Publication "Fair and Balanced History". Authors gave workshops on how to work with the innovative material. All the participants expressed their gratitude to all involved in the project, for creating such an important addition to the countries' history education. Some pledges to start to use it in the week that followed! The conference was greatly enriched by the workshops given by International trainers Dean Smart (UK), Huub Oattes (Netherlands) and Tamara Eidelman (Russia). At the same time, the conference provided and opportunity for History Educators from Georgia, Macedonia, Romania and Turkey to participate as observers and shares their ideas.
